Pete, a young physicist in training, struggles to balance between an unrequited love interest and his love for science. A visit from an older stranger let’s Pete in on a secret. He claims to know Pete’s future: it’s a miserable one that needs intervention. He advises Pete to go for the girl, and give his calculations and fantasies of time travel a break. But how does this old man know the future? When Pete considers the advice, it seems that his future is altered, and the old man mysteriously disappears. Is the future coming back to rescue itself, or is the mysterious stranger a quirky interruption?
